Driver Fitting
No club swings your dispersion pattern around more than the driver — and it's also the club where axis tilt shows up widest, since it travels farthest before it lands. A proper fitting here is usually the single biggest accuracy gain available.

What Actually Changes in a Driver Fitting
Face Progression & Offset
How far the face sits forward of the hosel changes how much time you have to square it up. Extra offset gives a slice-prone face more time to close before contact.
Shaft Weight & Flex
Shaft weight shapes release timing more than the flex label alone. A shaft that releases too early or too late will tilt your axis regardless of how "correct" the flex is on paper.
Head Design & MOI
Higher-MOI heads resist twisting on off-center strikes, which tempers gear-effect spin. Lower-MOI heads let a skilled player shape shots on demand.
Length
A shorter, better-controlled driver often produces a tighter dispersion pattern than a longer one, even after accounting for a few yards of theoretical carry.
Center of Gravity
CG placement shapes launch and spin rate independent of loft, but doesn't directly move axis tilt — we test it alongside face angle so the two changes don't work against each other.
Grip Size
An oversized or undersized grip changes hand action through impact, which can quietly shift face angle at contact. We check grip size on every driver fitting.
What a Driver Fitting Can Fix
The Slice
A face that's open relative to path tilts the axis toward a slice. Offset, face progression, and a shaft that releases sooner can reduce curvature meaningfully while you work on swing path.
The Unwanted Hook
A face that's closed relative to path tilts the axis the other way. Reduced offset and a stiffer, later-releasing shaft can pull a wild hook back toward a controlled draw.
Ballooning in the Wind
Excess spin sends shots up and back, costing distance and exposing the ball to Gulf Coast wind. A lower-spin shaft or head, sometimes paired with reduced loft, flattens the flight.
Inconsistent Strike Location
If your dispersion pattern shows contact scattered across the face, a higher-MOI head paired with correct length and lie can shrink both the pattern and the gear-effect spin it's adding.

Tee Shots and Deck Shots, Measured Separately
We log launch angle, spin rate, axis tilt, and attack angle from a tee, then run the same swing off a turf mat, since your delivery and strike location often change between the two. A head that performs well off the tee can behave very differently on ground contact.
Sole width and camber play a bigger role here than in any other club category — a sole that catches the turf even slightly can twist the face open at the worst possible moment.

Sole Width & Camber
A wider, more cambered sole glides through turf more forgivingly for steep attack angles, while a shallower, less cambered sole suits players who sweep the ball.
Loft
Real fairway wood lofts often run stronger than what's stamped on the head. We check actual loft against your launch numbers rather than trusting the label.
Shaft Weight & Flex
A shaft that's too light can add spin and inconsistency from turf contact; too heavy, and strike quality drops off from the deck specifically.
Head Size
Smaller, more compact heads generally launch lower and suit players who want more shot-shaping control from the fairway.
Face Angle

Shaft Weight

We check dynamic lie angle — how the sole actually sits at impact, not the static number stamped on the club — along with axis tilt, carry distance, and strike location across your full set. A one-degree lie error can shift impact several yards left or right at typical iron distances.
We also map gapping between clubs, since inconsistent distance steps often trace back to the same lie or loft drift causing your curvature problem.

Lie Angle
An upright lie tends to push shots left of target; a flat lie tends to push them right. We adjust in half-degree steps until the dynamic reading matches your intended start line.
Shaft Flex
We test steel and graphite across flex profiles, watching how each affects both distance control and axis-tilt consistency swing to swing.
Length
Longer irons increase swing speed but reduce strike consistency for most players; shorter irons trade a little distance for a tighter dispersion pattern.
Set Makeup

Bounce Angle
