Curvature comes from one thing: the angle your ball's spin axis tilts away from vertical at the moment it leaves the face. Most shops chase raw spin rate and call it a day. We measure the tilt itself, trace it back to what's actually causing it, and build a set that either flattens the curve out or turns it into a shot shape you can call on demand.

The Root Cause

How a Slice Actually Becomes a Slice

Spin rate tells you how much the ball is spinning. Spin axis tilt tells you which way it curves and how hard. They are two separate numbers, and only one of them explains your miss.

Face-to-Path Sets the Tilt

The relationship between where your face points and where your path is swinging at impact does most of the work in tipping the spin axis. A face that's open relative to path tilts the axis toward a slice; closed relative to path, it tilts toward a draw.

Strike Location Amplifies It

Contact toward the toe or heel of the face adds gear-effect spin on top of whatever face-to-path was already producing, which is why two shots with an identical face angle can curve by very different amounts.

Equipment Sets the Ceiling

Lie angle, face progression, shaft weight, and grip size all influence how easily your face squares up through impact — which means the axis tilt you fight with one set of clubs isn't fixed. It's a spec problem as much as a swing problem.
