What exactly is spin axis tilt, and how is that different from spin rate?
Spin rate is how fast the ball is spinning, measured in rpm. Spin axis tilt is the angle that spin axis is tipped away from perfectly vertical, measured in degrees left or right. Tilt is what actually determines curvature — two balls can spin at the exact same rate and curve completely differently depending on how tilted the axis is.
Can you build me a driver that fixes my slice without changing my swing?
Often, yes, at least partially. Face progression, lie angle, shaft weight, and grip size all influence how easily your face squares up at impact. We can't rebuild your swing path, but we can often flatten a meaningful portion of your axis tilt through equipment alone, and show you the before-and-after numbers on the monitor.
I want a repeatable draw for course management. Can you build that on purpose?
Yes — this is one of our most common requests from better players. Once we know your natural face-to-path tendency, we can fit specs that make a controlled draw or fade your default shot rather than an accident, which is very different from just leaving you to "aim and hope."
How long does an axis diagnostic session take?
Single-club sessions run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag assessment covering the diagnostic across every club typically runs 2.5–3 hours.
Am I obligated to buy clubs after my session?
No. You'll receive a written axis-diagnostic report either way, with no pressure to order. If you do build with us, your session fee is credited in full toward the purchase.
What should I bring to my session?
Your current clubs relevant to the fitting, the shoes you normally play in, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it.
Do you fit left-handed golfers?
Yes. Our demo wall carries left-handed heads across every category, and the axis-tilt diagnostic works identically for right- and left-handed players.
How does Gulf Coast humidity actually change my results?
Thicker, more humid air amplifies whatever curve your axis tilt is already producing, and the onshore breeze off the bay adds to it further. We factor local conditions into every recommendation instead of only fitting to indoor bay numbers.
How quickly do you build clubs after I order?
Most builds are finished in-house within a week, since we stock components and build on-site rather than routing orders through an outside factory.
